Palmer, Ochocinco miss practice, perceived problems ‘untrue’

Quarterback Carson Palmer and wide receiver Chad Ochocinco were held out of practice Wednesday, just two days after a heated exchange on the sideline during the Cincinnati Bengals’ loss to Pittsburgh, but neither is expected to miss Sunday’s game at Indianapolis.

Bengals WR Ochocinco reduced to fuming nonfactor

Chad Ochocinco went out of his way to call attention to himself during a 27-21 loss to Pittsburgh on Monday night, wearing bright gold cleats in a look-at-me gesture that caught everyone’s eye. He also vented his frustration as the game went along and he got shut down, exchanging words with quarterback Carson Palmer and coach Marvin Lewis.

Falcons WR White’s 201-yard day too much for Bengals to overcome

Take that, Ocho and T.O. Roddy White had one of the best games of his career, outshining Cincinnati’s loquacious receiving duo all by himself to lead the Atlanta Falcons to a wild 39-32 victory over the Bengals on Sunday.

The Cincinnati Bengals returned from a news-making bye week — Owens got fined, defensive end Antwan Odom got suspended — with little time to waste. They’ve got to fill in the defensive line, get the passing game going and get some confidence back heading into the rough part of their schedule.
